Priestley Boateng Named in the Bank Spółdzielczy w Bielsku Podlaskim Team of Matchweek 5 After Inspiring Warmia Comeback

Priestley Boateng earned another place in the Team of the Week after delivering a decisive performance in Warmia Grajewo’s dramatic 3–2 comeback victory over Supraślanka Supraśl at the Witold Terlecki Municipal Stadium.

Warmia entered the match determined to return to winning ways following a 2–2 draw against Ruch Wysokie Mazowieckie. However, the hosts faced a difficult contest and were forced to come from behind twice against a determined Supraślanka side.

Boateng was at the heart of everything positive in Warmia’s attack. In the 22nd minute, the Ghanaian forward was brought down inside the penalty area, winning a penalty that Rafał Kalinowski calmly converted to make the score 1–1.

Warmia went into the halftime break trailing 2–1 but returned for the second half with greater intensity. In the 55th minute, Boateng produced a world-class assist for Dawid Kalinowski, combining beautifully with his teammate before releasing him at the perfect moment. Kalinowski completed the move with an excellent finish to bring Warmia level at 2–2.

The decisive moment arrived in the 70th minute. Mikołaj Siemieniuk delivered an excellent cross into the penalty area, and Boateng timed his movement perfectly before rising above the defence and powering a brilliant header past the goalkeeper.

His goal completed Warmia’s comeback and secured an important 3–2 victory.

Boateng’s performance was defined by his intelligent movement, physical presence, creativity and ability to influence the match at crucial moments. He contributed directly to all three of Warmia’s goals—winning the penalty for the first, assisting the equaliser and scoring the match-winning goal.
